"Jubilee" Plush Toy

As fate would have it, Dr. Jane Goodall’s life with chimpanzees actually started well before Gombe. When she was just a year old, her father gave her Jubilee, a stuffed chimpanzee that became her favorite toy and reinforced her innate love of animals. Although friends of the family were sure that little Jane would be terrified of the toy, the budding ethologist loved Jubilee; in fact, Jubilee is still a resident of Jane Goodall’s home in England!
