During an extraordinary journey to the Republic of Congo to be in the field with Dr. Jane Goodall, conservation artist Becci Crowe was able to observe rescued Mandrills that were released by the Jane Goodall Institute.
Mandrills are shy and reclusive primates that live only in the rains forests of equatorial Africa. One of the males, Arthur, inspired Becci to create his portrait to convey the unique and striking facial features of this vulnerable species.
Arthur is created in Pen & Ink Pointillism. It is dedicated to Dr. Goodall and benefits the mission and programs of the Jane Goodall Institute.
