Join us in celebrating 60 continuous years of research, beginning with Jane's remarkable work, with this exclusive tote! The tote features a silhouette of a Gombe chimp, filled with a forest scene of Jane exploring and observing our closest living relatives.
These totes are made from 100% recycled polyester (RPET), which comes from post-consumer plastic water bottles that are saved from landfills, broken down, spun into fiber, then woven into fabric. So you can feel good about taking these Earth-friendly recycled totes along on any adventure - hiking, camping, or even embarking on your daily commute!
The Adventure Tote conveniently folds up into a pocket inside the bag for space-saving portability. Purchasing this tote directly contributes to the living legacy of Jane's research and supports the future of science in Gombe.
From the moment a young British woman leapt from her small boat onto the shores of Lake Tanganyika, Tanzania, the world was never the same. Jane Goodall, a 26-year-old from Bournemouth, England with a passion for wildlife, came face to face with fate when she began her groundbreaking study of wild chimpanzees in what is now Gombe Stream National Park. In July of 1960, her amazing discoveries of chimpanzee behavior became the roots of one of the most significant scientific field sites on the planet. This is where a woman redefined man and defined what it means to be human.
